Also, it sounds like scratches and dirt/dust will show much more on the AMB

^^^This right here. It's practically the same price.
Plus you get to pair AMB with the roast interior. Obviously, im partial, since that's my build. Going from an AMB Wildtrak with decals to an AMB OBX sas with the saddle interior and silver painted dash is like going from ashy to classy.

Hey everyone! I'm new here so please be gentle.

Like the rest of you I've been agonizing over the smallest details of my build for weeks. I've decided to go with the Wildtrak!

Last issue though is with the hood decal. My color choice is Antimatter Blue, but with the hood decal I'm worried that it'll just blend into the overall color.

If I switch to Area 51, it'd be a much "different" color from everything else out on the road and it would make the black hood decal pop more.

Unfortunately, not a whole lot of pictures to look at online. What do you all think?
Well everyone is getting Area 51, including me. So I say you stick with AMB. The decals are more matte, so even if you went with black on black, I think that is a cool look with the contrasting sheens.

If I have to have the hood decal it just makes sense to use the additional decals to help contrast the body color that much more.
Correct - adding the side decal breaks up the color saturation for me.

Wouldn't the decals be able to be removed if a person didn't like/want them?

I really do like the cactus grey color I'm seeing but I think it's a bit too light for my taste. Being more partial to dark colors, i was thinking Area 51 might be a good middle ground between Antimatter and Cactus Grey. Still make the black grille and rims pop but not be light enough that it looks white in some light.

I know it's really a personal question but being indecisive sucks when you're spending this much! Thanks for the insights guys!
While I agree A51 will look much better than AMB, I think colors that will have the highest contrast will look best with Wildtrax black accents. White would look amazing with the Black Mod top and hood graphic for the stormtrooper look. Personally, I'm going with Cactus Gray on my Wildtrax (MIC Top). But if you like A51 you should be fine. It actually looks pretty light in the sunlight. Go see the colors on bronco sport in person if you haven't to give an idea

I read elsewhere on this forum that you can remove it with a hot blower, but I really don't want to risk ruining the paint on my 60k truck

Cyber Orange, Race Red, Oxford White and maybe Velocity Blue go with the Wildtrak hood decal everything else just blends in pretty much.

A hood decal covering up the beautiful AMB paint? Switch over to a loaded OBX sas and do the right thing.
Although I long preferred the WT, I really don’t like the interior colors so my first order was OBX with the roast interior which I really like. Then I must have gone crazy one day and decided that I could live with the Wildtrak colors in leather. So I changed my order to Wildtrak with leather. The WT and OBX I ordered were practically the same with the only difference the WT has ugly seat colors and Baja mode. The OBX had great looking seats and no Baja. Now I’m regretting the change from original and really want to go back to OBX. Not sure what my dealer will say if I try to go back to my original order.

I wish we had pictures. I would think the black graphics will highlight that AMB is indeed blue.

I saw AMB in person and it us beautiful, but even in the Arizona sun, it looked black to me. However, it was parked near a Shadow Black truck and AMB looks tons richer than SB. And that is also why I think it will look good with the black graphics.

I wasn’t considering Cyber Orange AT ALL until I saw on a WildTrak with the decals. The black on the hood and sides creates a really great contrast. I think Velocity Blue looks really good with the decals on a WildTrak as well.

Hi folks,

Just joined and thought I'd throw my 2 pennies in. I'll be ordering a '22 Wildtrak in Rapid Red with the extra side decals. The matte hood and side decals along with the MIC top and fender flares all tie in together. Not a fan of the shiny painted top as brush marks will show really bad over the MIC top.
