I reserved a Wildtrak, but after further review it seems like the better route would be to go Badlands+Sasquatch. As far as I can tell the only drawback would be lack of carpeted floors, which I do not want anyway.

Is there something special (different) about the Wildtrak mechanically that I am missing that I would not get with Badlands+Sasquatch?

I believe the track of it sits a little wider for higher speed off-roading.

So it comes down to if you’re wanting more of a desert runner or rock crawler.

With the WildTrak you get the 2.7L, hardtop, and sasquatch pkg. The Badlands gets you the better bumpers/skidplates, swaybar disconnect, and drain plugs. If you're going to do some serious off-roading, I'd go Badlands. I plan on cruising the beach and hitting some moderate trails, so I went WildTrak.

Hard to tell what's a good combo because we don't have the pricing for the 2.7L or the packages. If you're going with the 2.7L, is it cheaper to get Wildtrak with it including it?

We don't know if pricing will the same if you a la carte packages/engines/tops or if you get a break on the price if the model already comes with it.

Wondering the same thing. Between the badland and the wildtrak

I really want the black hard roof, and the 35s. I guess it really comes down to how much the mid-pack is and how much the sasquatch is

My perfect would be badlands with hard black roof, sasquatch and lux pack

Edit: with the 2.7L V6

Does anyone know if you could change your reservation from a badlands to a wildtrak for example?

The Ford build and price for the new Bronco is not working correct? I haven't been able to see that yet myself, anyone see anything different?

Last night I saw the track width of each of the models, but I do not seem to be able to find it now. Does anybody have a link to that if they saw it?

Thanks

Here's why I switched from WildTrak to Badlands:

First, I wanted the option for the manual. Sucks it’s tied to the 4, but I wanted that option. Second, I have no idea—and have not seen—any real information on whether the Badlands suspension setup is available as an option to the WildTrak. That hydraulic sway bar feature seems really neat and it’s something I think would be pretty handy on the trail. Third, I love the idea of it coming armored up from the get go and I didn’t really see that equivalent on the WildTrak? Fourth, for my intended usage, the interior of the Badlands makes a bit more sense than the carpeted one of the WildTrak. I have leather in my Tacoma and I appreciate it, but I’d give anything to be able to clean that interior out simply after hitting the trail.

In sum, for me, the Badlands package was closer to what I wanted without adding stuff while the WildTrak seemed weirdly compromised. Right now I intend on adding Sasquatch and that’s probably it.

The more spartan the better, at least for me.
