Will 33s work without a lift on a 2DR non-BL/squatch?

I like the look of 33s on the 2DR (fully admitting 35s rock too). It works for my use. I’m leaning towards 33s on a BB. Hoping they fit without rubbing. I’m thinking it will look fuller than a BL, because of the lift on BL. Anyone think 33s will work without a lift? I know it’s really early to fully tell, but what else do we have to do?

That’s what I hope to avoid. I went up a size on my Isuzu and had the turning radius of an 18-wheeler until I gave it a lift. ? Bronco looks to have a lot of room though.

A 33" tire should work if you stay close to the factory offset. What usually causes rubbing is picking a wheel with a lot of negative offset.

Can you help a novice understand what "negative offset" means?

the big bend comes with 32/33" tires, I'm confused as to your question.
Big Bend comes with 32” tires. Badlands has 33”. However, Badlands has a lift to go with those 33s. Wondering if I can get away with 33s on a Big Bend sans lift.

Oh. While different manufacturers run slightly off, the Big Bend tire size is 32.05" and the Badlands is 32.7". No one can say at this point but I couldn't imagine there being an issue with an extra 0.33" of tire on top that could rub.

Badlands also has about 4cm more suspension travel, so needs more room. BB won't have this extra travel to worry about, so it should work fine. Unless, I'm missing something.

I have a feeling I'm going to hate the stock Dueler ATs on the Big Bend, so I plan to swap them out for something more aggressive and go to a slightly wider 275/70 R17. The are only about .8" wider overall and about the same diameter as the stock 255/75 R17s. I'm not worried about them rubbing.

LOL. I’m the one who uploaded the tire specs to B6G. I should have looked there. ? Ok. That’s not a real difference at all. My plan is to ditch BB tires at the dealer and get some General Grabbers.

You can put 35's on a badlands stock, so 33's on anything else should be no issue. I wouldn't be surprised if you could put certain 35's on base with only minor rubbing. Certainly not worried about it personally. I think wheel package on this will be much closer to half ton class than other midsizers in stock form given how little work is needed to put on 37's.

so, a greater negative offset pushed the tire further from the vehicle centerline?
YES

EDIT: got backwards that . DUH!

4x4ers usually use inch backspacing.
You can change wheels and tires by just measuring how deep the original sits.
As long as the new combo is the same, or less, you're GTG.

Offsets come from the Euro weenies. That's why it's measured in metric.
