Will Dealership Offer to Purchase Customer Order

Will the dealership purchase my custom order from me? I'm undecided due to color change. Anyone have any experience with this process? Thank you.

They will be happy to sell it to someone else with a big ADM. Unless you have a very desirable build (hard top in Wildtrak or Badlands maybe) I don’t see them offering you money to walk away. They know you won’t net much if anything on the flip after taxes and dealer fees.

Technically, the dealership owns the Bronco until you purchase it from them. I'm sure they can easily find another buyer...... if it already arrived at their dealership, I'll bet they've already had inquiries about it.

I feel its probably less them buying it and more them possibly paying you to not buy it. Couldn't hurt to ask them how it works.

My guess its they offer you $100-1000 to walk away and list it on the lot with $10-15k ADM.

Surely someone in our community was approached by a dealership. I'll probably buy my custom order but money can move mountains.

When I picked mine up, the dealership asked if I was looking to flip it because they offer $5K-$20K (depending on the model) to buy it.

I have heard first hand of someone being offered $10k to hand over the vehicle when they went to pick it up. This validates other stories.

At the rate Broncos are being built that hefty resell or adm will be dropping especially on lower, less equipped trims. If you have no interest then sell but I wouldnt expect thousands of anything.

I'm waiting to hear from someone who actually flipped a custom order to the dealership. Taxes, processes, tips, etc.

Other people have gotten the offer, for sure. Not sure if anyone has taken it up. There have been a few threads on it.

Consider this a good sign. The flip side of the coin (which we have also seen) is the dealer giving you nothing and pissing you off until you walk away, without Bronco or money.

I’ve waited a long time for my Bronco. Color change is the only issue but I’ll be very happy with my new Bronco.
This question all started by a comment from the salesman which caught me by surprise. $1k not worth it but $5k will make anyone think twice.

I have a custom order on the lot right now, waiting for pickup. Working through the 21-22 + 22 midyear pricing. Dealer offered me $5k to just walk away.

It all depends on your order specs and how taxes/dealer fees work in your state, but I would poke around a bit more before you just walk away. You could be leaving a few thousand at least on the table and no reason to just give that to the dealer.

If you don't want it don't tell the dealer that! Ask them to split whatever they get above MSRP with you.
