I'm wondering if the new Bronco will basically be a North American Everest? For those that dont know it's a 5 door SUV variant of the Ford Ranger (T6) 4 door pickup truck designed and sold in Australia and a few asian markets. It's billed as being offroad capable but it's more on the plush side than I would want to see the Bronco (just check out the interior) and definitely wouldn't be a direct Wrangler competitor.

Or maybe the Everest will actually be one of the 4 "new" SUV's that they introduce?

I doubt Ford will bring the Everest here. The next gen Explorer will be RWD/AWD so bringing the Everest will very much go after similar buyers. I'd actually welcome the Everest but if it did happen it would be well after the 2020 Bronco, in my opinion.

Too soccer mom-ish IMO. The Bronco needs to be more like a Jeep type car where it's more stripped down and focused on utility and ruggedness than being plush. It should still be more plush than a Jeep and behave better on the streets, but shouldn't be like that Everest. Plus this thing just looks like a standard soccer mom SUV. I want the Bronco to look more unique and look like it could drive right off the road and onto terrain :)

Ranger spinoff would be ok but like I said in another thread the 6th gen Bronco can't be some gigantic F-150 spinoff dressed up in some fancier trim. If they do this car again it better have the true utility chops to go toe to toe with the Wrangler, and some tough styling to match.

Ford has more than enough SUV in the North American market to bring the Everest over. There would be a lot of unhappy people if this was the new Bronco.
+1. That's not impressive looking at all and clearly targeted at comfortable/luxury driving experience judging from the pics.

Instead I hope the new Bronco will basically be a north american version of the impressive Ford Troller thats available in Brazil. It's diesel, can off-road well, and got great looks too.

The Ford Troller T4 would be cool to bring over but it would have to go through a lot of changes to fit all the regulations set by the US government. It's one mean looking vehicle.
