I am in the same situation. The worst result is Almost fold flat seats. They either need to be actually flat or a flat surface after removal.

I've yet to see anyone say they know that's true. We just hope it is because it's what makes the most sense if we were designing the vehicle. I think most of us assume it to be the case until it's proven otherwise.
Yeah, that's why I asked...

If they fold flat, there is pretty much physically no way that removing them will result in a flat surface.

Fold, and fold flat are two different things. I doubt they fold flat. That would require a recess in the floor like most unibodies have. The floor of the Bronco should be relatively flat with no deep recesses.

This photo from the Ford website leads me to believe they fold flat. Look at the headrests - they fold back so they’d lie face first against the back of the front seats.

The back deck is higher than the foot wells. It has to be to house all the suspension and rear end bits/gas tank/etc.

No great pic out there, but best I could find. This is a 4-door. Can see the fold flat mech. There’s also a step down from cargo to passenger area. Seat bottom would swing or lower down maybe and the seat back fold down flat.

If you look at the post with the leaked black bronco from today you can see the back two seats do fold down and are flush. Not sure about removal.
That’s for the 4-door, question is about the 2-door.

Oops! We shall see. The cyber orange video is up now and looks like they have the fold down latch. Thanks!

Here is a video, about halfway through they go to the back and the seats seem to have the fold down latch
