over half of the sticky threads on this forum have been removed, does this mean ford is cutting their losses and shutting everything down?

If they do, I guess I'll start looking at the used XTerra and Land Cruiser market again...

I understand all the uncertainty....corporations have ceased making economic forecasts...no way Ford can pinpoint future events.

But I think they are slamming their own dick in the door by not saying Anything.

I can't see any possibility of the Bronco itself being cancelled completely, as far as whatever versions are already set for production. I could certainly see any as yet undeveloped future, more extreme versions being shut down, same for next generation or mid cycle refresh projects.

looks the same for all automakers and business. People need to chill, a month or two of impact and everything will come roaring back bigger than ever.

The service economy is going to collapse and won't come back quickly. It will cascade do to panic regardless of how dangerous the pathogen is or isn't throughout the World's economy. It will change social norms permanently. In this upheaval, people are uncertain. Uncertain people do not splurge on new vehicles.

Ford is worried about survival. I agree with the above, Bronco is already baked, the costs are sunk. They will sell it, but niche 'super' Broncos R&D budgets are going away. The people deciding on the budgets are people and uncertain people do not splurge on making new vehicle variants either.

"engineering sign-off has already been done. However, certain work still remains. Tooling trials, pilot production, approval for Job 1, development of staggered variants."

Bronco was a sure-thing cash cow three months ago. Possibly still true today, but Ford MAY need to think about a more modest base trim level. Ford has some great new products lined up - but might not have the capital to pull them all off.

Yep, that's true. Certain options could potentially get cut, etc. I just don't see any way the Bronco itself doesn't come out.
