Not sure about this for So. Cal.

Googled it real quick and there's plenty of options from $40 plug in disable up to using a tuner to do so. As well as a quick and dirty way like unplugging the harness for the button thus putting it in bypass mode.
Thanks. I'm sure it is fine and well tested, I just find it annoying. YMMVYou can plug a $3 trailer light tester into the trailer light socket and disable Start/Stop on other Ford Vehicles.
I saw that, but it'll display that you have a trailer every time you start the truck. I'd think that would be as annoying as having to push the AUTO-START-STOP button every time. You can plug a $3 trailer light tester into the trailer light socket and disable Start/Stop on other Ford Vehicles.
I have also heard that it can mess with your maintenance intervals... the truck thinks it is pulling a trailer and thus wants the oil changed sooner etc.I saw that, but it'll display that you have a trailer every time you start the truck. I have a 2019 Escape w/ the start-stop annoyance. When in the “S”, sport position, on the gear selector it disables the start-stop.Dad's F-150 has a button on the dash to disable, but I wonder if some drive modes will disable it by default. Similar to how my Mustang disables traction control in Track mode.
