Anything to up revenue. But real question is when they introduce and norm is self driving cars. How will the judicial system up th ante? Fart in public and get a fine? Look at Singapore. It’s a fine city. Literally!

In the future, drivers could be at risk for tickets, if found manually operating a vehicle under certain circumstances. For example, certain roadways where automated driving has been enhanced, and someone manually driving between lanes, at various speeds and making decisions that don't jive with the automated vehicles and flow, is deemed a problem.

It will be dependent on the roadway. But yeah, ways will be found to still ticket and generate some revenue. I wonder if old manual operated vehicles will be banned from certain roadways in the future.
