Dang, soft top for me. So it’s too thick for the hinges then?Nope, too thick. The manual ratchet that ships with the bronco, while not as flashy, is the best tool in my opinion. That powered ratchet will kick ass for removing your hardtop bolts if you happen to have one though. I got the Makita version of this tool just for that!
You know, I said that just sort of off the cuff, but now I’m thinking about it I honestly need to try it to see if there is enough clearance to get the tool in.Dang, soft top for me. So it’s too thick for the hinges then?
This sub-compact, 1/4”-drive, cordless ratchet would be better… 30 ft-lbs max torque versus the 22 ft-lb torque spec on the door bolts. Will this Milwaukee cordless rachet be good for door installation? Wanting to take them on/off a lot quicker. Just wanted to make sure this isn’t too much torque on the bolts and also that the Bronco tool kit is in fact a 3/8” head.
Not familiar with the doors, but that Fuel rachet head is much larger than the normal one, the I believe the 1/4" (normal) is smaller yet.You know, I said that just sort of off the cuff, but now I’m thinking about it I honestly need to try it to see if there is enough clearance to get the tool in.
Is that the same size as the Bronco toolkit ratchet? Not familiar with the doors, but that Fuel rachet head is much larger than the normal one, the I believe the 1/4" (normal) is smaller yet.
I was referring to the Milwaukee "fuel" cordless rachet you posted, vs the one Razorbak posted (he beat me to it).Is that the same size as the Bronco toolkit ratchet?
If you have put the doors on correctly it’s literally two or three quarter ratchet turns and the finger screw them out. Literally 5 seconds of work. Per screw. It’s honestly going to be more work and a greater chance of damage with that electric ratchet. You know, I said that just sort of off the cuff, but now I’m thinking about it I honestly need to try it to see if there is enough clearance to get the tool in.
Let me know if this head fits!I have this Milwaukee ratchet:

It appears to have a smaller head than the one you posted. But I'll see if it fits tomorrow and post up here.
Is this a nascar pit stop?
Is it because there is too much torque? If you have put the doors on correctly it’s literally two or three quarter ratchet turns and the finger screw them out. Literally 5 seconds of work. Per screw. It’s honestly going to be more work and a greater chance of damage with that electric ratchet.
