Will this work on a Bronco's spare tire rack?

With several of these threads about adding extra weight to the tire rack, I see a lot of bend hinge threads in the near future.

Gas is 6lbs per gallon. 12 gallons * 6 = 72 pounds. I'm not sure that's a great idea unless you know the carrying capacity of that door/rack
