Moderate passes like Imogene and Ophir... will wildtrak be adequate out of the box or is badlands more appropriate? I’ve never done either.

You could take a Honda CRV over Ophir, and any Bronco (maybe not Sport) over Imogene.

When I was 10 I rode Imogene on a KX80. At about 10,000 I ran out of power and a 91 Subaru wagon filled with blue hair octogenarians puttered past me smiling and waving.
So any Bronco with a competent and smart driver can do that pass.

I've seen dudes do it in a Subaru and succeed.

I've seen Jeep bros roll a built rig down a mountain.
No experience with these passes, but the point @LandCruiser makes is very true. Vehicle capability is one thing, driver capability another.

like I said, no experience with those passes, but hand my teenage daughter the keys to the WildTrak to complete those passes and she still won’t make it...

What about engineers? Not sure we would ever do it, but still curious. Likely won’t do black bear either.

Now..let's talk Black Bear Pass.....
The switchbacks really aren't that bad in a modern vehicle with good brakes, but that initial drop by the falls scares me a bit!

Engineer used to be pretty easy but the atvs/utvs/super jeeps have got it tore up a bit now, still doable in any Bronco.

Yeah a Jeep rolled off black bear a couple weeks ago when we were in Ouray. Yikes
That one had actually been parked, "Park" and e brake didn't hold and away it went, with no driver.

Any of those trails can be done in a stock Bronco. We just did Imogene, Black Bear, Alpine Loop (Engineer and Cinnamon), and Poughkeepsie. The only difficult technical parts were on Poughkeepsie. And you can bypass those if you want. We made it up the wall with no lockers. It can be done. There are often more challenging routes you can take if you want but not required.

There are some trail vids in the trails section of B6G. You can get a better feel for what some of the Colorado trails are like. I will be adding one for Imogene soon.
