Lets fast forward to the future... The date is January 2043... (Kidding) Ford now lists a MIC top for order on their accessories guide.

Will you be buying a MIC top when they come available? Or are you sticking with your soft top? (or vice-versa)

Curious what everyone's thoughts are on this, and why. I've been back and forth toying with this for quite a while. The soft top has been much better than I anticipated, however I like the look/improved security of the MIC top. There's pros and cons for both, but I also don't want to be swapping my tops out throughout the year and prefer to have one or the other.

Note: I realize there's a modular top coming too and aftermarket options, but I am specifically inquiring on the OEM MIC top.

What does a nice Canadian fella need with more security? Just put a note in the window that says "Please don't break in. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I'd I had to choose one or the other a soft top wins. Having both to swap out seasonally is best.

Plan on placing an order for 2 door hard top I originally wanted while enjoying my 4 door soft top. Trading in the 4 door soft top for the 2 door hard top when it finally gets built will probably be cheaper than buying a hard top anyway.

I was originally going to swap my OEM soft top, but I'm learning that where I live, just run topless except maybe December to March.

I'd buy a MIC top tomorrow if the option was available haha, so fingered crossed it's available in three months? Six months? A year? One can only hope

I too am loving the soft top more than expected and right now my preference would be to stay with it though I would purchase the MIC as well for these Northeast winters if I can afford it (and if find a decent place to store the hard top in the summer.)

I wanted the MIC, but now would have no interest in one, even for free. The soft top just works so well for being able to go open air quickly…that it is all I need or want.

We love both our soft tops but I would definitely switch them out fall and spring is when I can find a hard too that’s not crazy expensive. The goal is to have both types of tops if for no other reason than to save the wear on the softie in the winter months.

I think you need an option that would allow the choice of a painted top, in addition to the MIC and soft top offerings.
