Hell nah!

From the people on this site I'd wager the only first time manual drivers here would be young people that just got their license in the past few years.

I've had stick... Mustang V6, Mustang GT, Yamaha RoadStar 1600cc, Ranger 4-cyl, Subaru Crosstrek 6-spd.

I worked at a dealership and kind of got used to getting on a new car every few years. With this one I'm going to buy not lease and drive it into the dirt. Very few vehicles are actual investments and my goodness they depreciate fast. Appraising cars was difficult for me at first because I was still like... It's a working car in good shape... Only worth xxxx??

It will actually be my first Auto here. I've only ever had manual, but I want 2.7 and remote start. Might also be nice to actually share the driving on road trips too (the gal refuses to learn to shift). First SUV too, my cars so far have been camaro camaro mustang mustang, definitely throwing everyone I know a curve ball when I break the news that my new car won't be a challenger.

Learned to drive a stick in the family 1980 Ford Pinto. I'd probably have gone with the stick if it had been offered with the V6 if for no other reason than to avoid the upcharge of the auto. But autos have come a long ways so I'm not too upset about it.

Why are so many people saying this Bronco will be the last car they buy? Is everyone near death or something? I expect to buy at least 10 more cars before I die lol. Maybe 20.
Because there aren’t gonna be anymore cars in 10 years or so everything’s gonna be self-driving rideshares that you call up with an app when you gotta go somewhere on automatic highways with continuous 12 lane intersections.

Yup same. While I might consider the cost of upgrading the engine, paying an extra $1,600 for a transmission I don't really want is a nope!

6 vehicles and three motorcycles. All were manual except for one that was too good of a deal to pass up when I was broke

I don't think any manual transmission virgin is going to out themselves in this forum.

Although, please, for the love of God, film your first time driving a manual! We need the laughs.

So for all of you, fellow B6G community... Are manuals the only kind you get?
If I can help it, I have usually attempted to maintain a manual transmission in my garage. After counting almost all the vehicles I have owned in the last 20 years, 2/3 were rowed by hand.
Manuals:
88 Mustang, I4
90 Bronco ii, V6
90 240SX, I4
89 Ranger, V6
98 Ranger, I4
01 S10, I4
92 Cherokee, I6
98 F150, V8

Automatics:
94 Continental, V6
99 S10, V8
99 Ram V8
06 F150 V8

Do motorcycles count? All 7 of them were manual.

I’m on the fence about the manual. I’ve had 2 vehicles that were manual. But at only 32, my knees are going fast (thank you US Army). So I’m really not sure yet.
