My dealer called me while installing the winch on my FE and informed me the winch interferes with the cruise control RCM?
Sorry for the basic question, but is that well known? have others run in to this problem?>
thank you

Yes, your dealer is correct.

The winch blocks the adaptive cruise control module. If it you look up the winch in the Ford parts catalog, it specifically says it is not compatible with the Lux package... and the reason why is because it prevents ACC from functioning.

It also blocks a portion of the front 360-degree camera.

Some aftermarket bumper solutions exist that maintain all your sensors for ACC and cameras.

That is a dumbass system if a winch interfaces with any system. Too much computer stuff. I wished I could have a Bronco with no computer other than ECU.

Well luckily you can get just the standard package and not worry about the majority of fancy electronics stuff other than the typical safety features (most of which are required by law).
