Windrock 10/15/23

My wife and I will be arriving Sunday morning 10/15 to hit the trails and plan on wheeling Monday the 16th as well before moving on to other areas like Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg not certain who knows may just stay and wheel Windrock for three or four days
We’ll be staying in Oakridge and just reaching out / looking for other Bronco’s or groups we can tag along with

I might be able to go depending on if I go to Petit Le Mans at Road ATL on Saturday. I assume since you are on a road trip you probably dont want to get too extreme.

We’ve spent a lot of time up that way “ Off road Tellico area mainly and it’s been a long minute “ Over the years for different activities White water , sportbikes , dirt bikes , jeeps , quads, repelling and such and excited to visit the Windrock area for the first time
My wife is adding to her rig on a as needed basis thus far and I’m glad because good stuff doesn’t come cheap
We’re running gmrs for com’s can snag a cb if needed my other cb’s stay in my big trucks I’m a heavy haul construction machinery driver / transportation and recovery specialist if that makes sense
Only other gear we’ll have is Goatfab’s step sliders some straps, d rings and Thor’s Lightning for air ups n downs
Won’t be hitting hardcore guaranteed body damage trails …

Nothing too extreme it’s a 23 WT 4 door with the HOSS 3.0 suspension and rack we did add the Goatfab sliders and have recovery straps air up and down gear and gmrs for com’s that’s it thus far

Another spot you might want to check is chuck swan state forest. It’s got some old county roads and trails. It’s near Norris lake about an hour from oak ridge.

Thanks for your insight haven’t heard of that area and will research it shortly we have been through Sarah’s creek and Ford something or the other road area years ago in the Jeep but didn’t want to go that way without a pickup group or a winch

since we’re running solo we also have no itinerary other than the 15th &16th at Windrock area so all suggestions or invites are welcomed
