Windshield tinting

Just got my Wildtrak finally... it's shadow black 2 door. I have a tinting appointment on Saturday. Was wondering if anyone had gotten the strip on the windshield done. I'm having a problem picturing it in my head with that center section plunging down in the windshield. Anyone have the strip and care to post pics? Just for reference Thanks!

Have you considered tinting the whole windshield? I plan on doing that myself (former career) with 3m Crystaline 70%vlt. Works very well in reducing heat .

Whole windshield is definitely illegal in WV.. I'm already going darker than legal limit on the doors.. dont want to draw that much more attention

Hello my WT brother,

Yes, i have a dark tint strip running across the top of the windshield. If you look behind your mirror you will see the factory tint dots. I went to that line straight across. No sun in your eyes and it hides toll pass, camera, etc... Great upgrade!

whole windshield is where its at, so much nicer to not have to worry about using visors

I did just this on mine. Can barely tell it’s there but cuts down on the heat and UV on the dash.

Tinted the windshield and the front windows. The first car I did the windshield on I was worried it would be too dark and not the look I wanted to be driving around in. After it was done, I loved it, hardly noticeable and makes a big difference. It looks much darker in the pic than it is actually. Have the taillights pulled, and getting "smoked" to lessen how much red shows on the truck.

Wow in PA that would get you stopped and towed and inspection stickers scraped off. even mine draws some unwanted attention

Damn that sucks, I went 50% on windshield. They also do a transition but I didn't bother. Don't care around here. Only one we didn't do in past 10 years is my wife's, has a heated windshield so can't.
