Well its that time of year again in Alaska. We had snow last week, so time to start swapping snow tires on to all my vehicles.

I have Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2 315/70R17 studded snow tires. I bought 5 Motegi Trailite 17x8.5" Bronze wheels.

I also swapped my factory black Sasquatch fender flares back on for winter also. I like having two totally different looks for summer/winter.

Those bronze rims look good with the blue.

Love those Nokians, thatā€™s the only true winter tire Iā€™ve seen for a Sasquatch rim.

Awesome tires. Ran them up to Tuktoyaktuk, then over and up to Coldfoot. Got some ice slalom action in too in Dawson.

Not a huge fan of the gold but love the white rims.

No offense meant, but you may be colorblind.. šŸ˜‚
One set is bronze, the other is aluminum.
Alright, bronze then, it bares similarity with gold though.

I like both looks.
Are the aluminum ones - Sasquatch wheels? Painted or powder coated ? Very unique!

Nice setup! If I may, what mudflaps are those? And do the fit non-sas? They look like exactly what I'm looking for.

They are just some universal flaps we had at my work. I run them with my standard Outerbanks painted flares on the summer also. I just held them up, eyeballed where to mount and screwed them in. Almost a year on the fronts, I just put the rears on a month or two ago.

Have you had any chance to drive your stock Territory MT tires in Alaska winter conditions? Are they at all decent as a snow tire? If not, I was thinking of getting another set of rims and mounting the Nokian Hakkapelitta LT3 nonstudded winter in the stock 315/70/17 size tire to swap seasonally:

I am in the Pacific NW so we don't usually see the type of winter conditions you do. Thanks for your feedback!

Yes I have, I did the first 400 miles on the stock Goodyears. They are impressive for a non-snow tire but definitely lack in the glare ice traction department. I also like to drive fast so I need all the extra traction I can get, that's why I run snow tires on all my vehicles.

If you drove cautiously, I bet you could run the Goodyears a couple winters ok.
