Visual acuity and simple tolerance for what's on your windshield varies from person to person. So in the end, if it's enough moisture on your windshield to bother you then it is impairing your visibility.
Video aside, I assure you, when it happens in a heavy downpour to mine, there's no issue of perception, its virtually zero visibility. I can barely see the front of the hood. at highway speeds, in traffic. It can be scary as hell.

Yep. Been there. Done that. It’s zero fun not being able to see and having to fiddle with a switch when you should be focused on the road and traffic around you. These are the dumbest smart wipers I’ve ever seen!

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this wiper concern. Thanks!
Sending a private message doesn't do any good. I sent a message and was given a case number and told I would hear from a "customer service specialist on the escalated suv support team" I have not been contacted by anyone.

My early 2023 black diamond i believe November build does this. It's a real pain in the ass. Starts fast then slows down to intermittent. Have to constantly turn the knob back and forth. If it is raining hard and I have it in the fastest setting it seems to stay going but slower speeds just turns into intermittent. And eventually almost nothing.
My 2023 Badlands behaves exactly like this. Build week was 5 December 2022.

I almost rear ended a car in heavy rain because the wipers set on high just stopped. So now when it’s raining I constantly tweak the wipers so they don’t slow or stop.

Are the replacement motors definitely not the same as the assembly line motor?
Well, since it corrected the issue for me, I would say unequivocally "yes"

The wiper motor for the Bronco has never been updated or replaced. This will not solve any issue. It may temporarily, but it’ll eventually do the same thing.

many times the assembly line part will be different than the OTC part. Some times from different suppliers.

That is not correct - My system is now functioning properly.

That’s not accurate at all. The wiper motor that it was built with, is the same as the service part sold over the counter at any Ford dealer currently. The share the exact same engineering and service part number.

That is not correct - wiper motor part number is M2DZ-17508-C. Original motor p/n is M2DZ-17508-A.
Wrong.
Just because it is -C and not -A, doesn’t mean it’s been updated at all.

As you can see, M2DZ-17508-C has been the ONLY part number since 5/03/21 when the bronco was first built.

I have been running (+ restoring) Fords my entire adult life (40+ years).

Just because they have the same engineering & part # absolutely does not mean they came from the same supplier.

Anytime a part changes suppliers or anything else, the part number is changed.
Considering the part number for the wiper motor has NEVER changed, it’s the identical part that it was built with from the factory.
But, whatever. Not going to argue with you.
