on this one, I installed a anti-reflective cover to prevent that. Only downside is that you can't use it as a mirror while it's off anymore, lol
With mine I tilt the mirror until the reflection goes away. The downside is that if I want to use the mirror function I have to tilt it back. Not a problem really since I don't use the mirror.

It seems like the sun visor will hit the Wolfbox, both the 10" and 12" versions. If the camera was on the right side, there would be more room, but camera on the left makes it look like it will get in the way of the driver's sun visor. Can anyone on here confirm or deny this?

Thanks!

Yes it does. Not a problem for me as I sit high enough I almost never use the visor (Wife is short and I don't mess with height adjustment). The time I needed the visor, it worked fine.

I think you could swivel the mirror out the way to get the visor past it.

A workaround could be to get wolfbox mirror mount and move the mirror over.

Thanks, good to know. I saw that OEM mount from Wolfbox shortly after posting and have it added to my cart, along with an anti-glare film.

This. It does hit, but not an issue for me either. The visor is basically unusable... The mirror is well worth any inconvenience IMO...

I read somewhere that the anti-glare film makes the "regular" mirror function unusable, but don't have experience with that.

I found that by tilting the mirror it removes 99% of the reflections. Since it is a video screen tilting it doesn't affect the image noticeably.

YMMV.

As I show in the video, if you opt for the optional arm that completely replaces the factory mirror, the sun visors are fully functonal. I use them for my windshield shade

yes, the anti-glare does make the mirror function void.

For any of you that have this and mount it outside, do you ever get rain collecting on the camera? Like the factory reverse camera gets? For mounting outside the vehicle, on the brake light, what caveats have you noticed?

I’ve got mine mounted in my front bull bar and I hardly ever need to wipe it off. I wipe my rear factory camera on the spare tire off all the time. I suspect no matter what you’ll need to clean it off every now and then if you mount it on the rear.

I drove at night for the first time since installing the G900 and I will say that the night time video picture SUCKS! Even given that, I still like it and think it's worthwhile. My camera is installed inside same as the OP shows - I wonder if it would be any better installed outside???

My use case would be if i installed a soft top, so i could see without it blocking when it is down. So I'm wondering how it would be outside.

I think it’s too distracting to use at night I always turn mine off and just use the mirror as a normal mirror at night time.

It's grainy and noisy when the light is low for sure, hopefully they come out with rear camera that uses a better sensor like the front camera.

Even so, I like it better than the mirror that mostly shows the spare tire and brake light.
