Quick review on the new Wolfbox Megaflow24 air compressor. I got this air compressor sent to me from Wolfbox for testing purposes.
This compressor gets the job done for its small size. It’s not going to replace your twin ARB or twin Morrflate compressor anytime soon but for an emergency situation or a quick top off it’s pretty darn good and does it pretty fast. I don’t think they were aiming to take down the larger duty cycle pumps on the market they were looking at a convenient and fast way to fill tires on the go or in a pinch that you can leave in your vehicle all the time.
The carrying case is nice it’s a zippered hard box same style case they use with their jumper box. I do wish it had a zipper on top of the case to hold in the hose and power cable when you go to close it because it tends to pop back out sometimes. It also has some inflate tools like a ball needle. The air hose is very flexible It’s just long enough to reach your valve stem.
The pump has a few settings but it’s all pretty basic. Only thing I changed was made it read psi. You set it at the pressure you want and hit start it runs till it reaches that set pressure. I really liked that it reads the actual tire pressure as it pumps. The first tire I tried was a 37 inch. From 19psi to 36psi it took 9 minutes and about 70% of the battery. I never got around to using the pump with the 12 volt power cord all tests done were off the internal batteries. On a 31” small truck tire it went from 29psi to 36psi in 2 min 20 sec. Then I tried it out on a trailer tire and it was super quick went from 21psi to 36psi in just 2 min 15 sec.
