Previously I had reviewed the Wolfbox G900 and found it too big and cumbersome. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/wolfbox-g900-dash-cam-review.96345/
So then I was sent the X5. With these cameras the ask is apparently to see if these cameras are viable for off-roading. I am not reviewing these as on-road dash cams. So off the beaten path I went.
A couple important notes:

A couple important notes:
- I was sent the X5 for no charge.
- I would never let free product influence my reviews. Unless the box was stuffed with sufficient quantities of cash, which so far, hasn't happened.
- I was sent a pre-release product, the X5 will not have 5K recording at launch. I don't expect them to add this feature, to my current knowledge.
Highlights:
- Nice small form factor.
- Unique mounting system (at least I haven't seen it before)
- Low light performance
- Can't power from USB port.
- Image stabilization
- Image compression
- I was not able to get the app to work with the dash cam. Not sure if it was because I had a pre-production model or if the app had not been updated.
