Well the Hummer is presumably going to be a full size-ish SUV again, and GM has been dominating that segment since forever with the Suburban and its short/long/GMC clones in the same sort of way Ford does with full size vans. 228k to Ford's 86k. If it wasn't for GMs stupid naming conventions it would be obvious.

I don't have any loyalty to Ford and did own a K5 Jimmy back in the day so I would consider a new Jimmy if it is a body on frame truck and is available as a 2 door with a removable top. As long as power is adequate an available V8 would not be a deciding factor.

Why would I want a Generic Made Chevy (GMC) of this being the Blazer & Jimmy were the same before. :sneaky:

I have a 2019 Escalade with the 6.2L. It took me a while to get used to a 10 speed transmission, but so far no complaints, plenty of power and all the creature comforts one could hope for. So, when Bronco comes out, the Cadillac will become my wifes daily driver.

Bronco or nothing at this point. If nothing now, further down the road F350 Tremor.

If Chevy could create the magic of a 1st gen K5, then hell yeah, I’m in. That’s a big if though and I’d have to see it to believe it.

To rephrase the question: Instead of waiting a year for a Bronco, would you rather wait two years for a Jimmy with a hypothetical V8 that will never happen? Eventually somebody’s going to need to actually buy a new car.

The problem with the Jimmy/Blazer isn't the HP.
The problem is the unibody construction and car suspension it was based on.

Might as well buy a used RAV4 and throw a Corvette engine in it.

The upcoming Jimmy is supposedly body on frame. Chevy/GMC don't do quite as much badge engineering as they used to.
