Depends on your use for the Bronco. If you have a two-door and/or plan on doing trips and some off-roading, and the 2.3 will be fine.

Getting the four-door? Large tires? Armor? Overlanding?...the hell no I would not touch the 2.3... i have driven 2 Sasquatch broncos with the 2.3 and would never give up my 2.7.

I have a 2dr 2.3L BL and it operates with plenty of power for me. I'm no speed demon, but I get on the freeway no issue, etc. If you want to upgrade the engine to do fancy tunes and upgraded turbos, etc., the 2.7L works better. But the stock 2.3L has 300hp. The 2.7L has 315hp. 🤷‍♂️
Well kinda. Stats for the 2.3 on the left. The torque is the big time difference.

The OP has made his decision. Guess people are missing that.

From everything I read before getting my Bronco and the various posts... the 2.3 seems ideal for the 2 door especially with a manual trans, but also very good with the automatic. The 2.3 with a 4 door is adequate also for most applications, but if you are really doing some stuff like overlanding (see offthegrind's you tube channel) then the extra torque of the 2.7 is better.
