Would you like to have seen a roll down rear window instead of flip up?

Nope.
Very little benefit and just seems like an area likely to develop problems over time.

I liked it open for air flow, do we know if we can remove the back window on the 2 door?

I enjoy mine on the 4Runner. I’ve owned a lot of 4Runners and have had no rear window issues that I recall. I’ve become very accustomed to it and use it often. Now, would it have been nice on the Bronco? Sure. Will it bother me? Probably not.

Curious if anyone was expecting a power rear window that rolls down into the door vs the flip up? I kinda thought Bronco was gonna do it different from Wrangler. Maybe a cost thing?
Welcome new members, Bronco6g has this amazing new invention, it's called the Search Function, it will find a dozen other threads where this has already been discussed with many, many, many, reasons.

I hope this isn't a sign that we're going back to the beginning and complain about every detail again? :cautious:
It’s not like there isn’t time, I mean they’ve been dangling B&P in front of us for over a month now and the most excited I’ve gotten was from an email from a dealership that I’m not even using. You go ahead complain away. Lol

I am one of the few that preferred the other bronco concept - with non-removable top, 2-3 sunroofs and a roll down rear window. Not many cars have this combination of windows that could be opened and I would like that more than the current bronco. Opening up the car at a flip of a switch is more appealing than driving with no sunroof a majority of the time. So that said, yeah, having a roll down rear window is probably at the way top of my list.

I'm surprised this isn't a poll.

Surely we have complained about this before, right?

You are correct @Squatch I do remember quite well arguing about this before.

To the OP, I will simply say this. YES, it should've had a roll down window. YES it differentiates from a Jeep (said in my original reply to the earlier thread). YES it pisses me off. NO I'm not over it. And lastly....... Where the F is my B&P?

Edit: I forgot, roll down window also most likely means TAILGATE. My other biggest pet peeve. But is what it is. I gotta live with it. Rant over.

So if we had a power rear window:
- the gate would have been thicker, eating into two door cooler behind the seat space
- the window mechanism and thinker gate would have been heavier
- the cost would be higher for limited functionality

I like the idea, but there are cons

A tailgate would be EPIC! I know the swing out tire carrier probably wouldn't ever pass crash standards, though.

Modern manufacturing techniques and materials could easily make a rear roll-down window reliable. The ability to roll up the rear of my JK's soft top was a decent substitute.

That would be a no.
I bought a new 1990 4 Runner and the tailgate window crapped out in 5-6 years costing over $900 to make it go up and down again. That $900+ was 1990's money.
Never again!
