Am I right ? - wrapping this Bronco will be pretty easy with all the removable panels. If the fenders come off and the quarter panels - what is left on the vehicle - the running board area stays on the car I assume - but does not have to. The rear door swing gate stays on but that is pretty small. The hood can be removed and wrapped. The roll bar will be pretty difficult - but if you pick a complementary color it should not be a problem. Forest green ?

I had not thought about pulling parts off to wrap but ya you totally could.

I have seen wraps done by 20 year old college students that looked amazing.
So with a little artistic skill I'm sure do it yourself or can pull it off.
But most people will just take their truck to the pro's.

I have seen jeeps and mustang's wrapped .
One of the mustang's had racing stripes and other contrast details it looked really good.

A few of us here have noodled a lot about this.

General consensus was that if you buy a white or black Bronco, you can leave the rollbars and windshield frame alone.
Then paint the MIC top to match.
Now you have a much simpler two tone job.
All you have to wrap are the 4 flat sides, and the hood.
Plus, you've eliminated the hassle of trying to maintain the wrap at the top to body mounting points.

Main trouble spots are going to be the exposed rear tailgate hinges.
You can not wrap hinges and keep them functional.
And the door jam.
The bottom of the door jam is wide, painted and made to be stepped on.
A wrap will die fast there.

I think it will be easier. My brother wrapped his FJ40 and came out pretty good. As for the step in sill. I think some anti skid tape will be a good move.

You could order a red bronco then wrap the panels a color you like but when you scratch it on the trail it will look like a real wound :ROFLMAO:

Best bet is to get a black bronco and shadow black top. Wrap the body and skip the rear hinges and the door sills/jambs (leaving them in black)....as long as you dont plan on driving with the doors off...

recently saw a new Land Rover Defender which was painted white and then wrapped. The inside was left white, but the hinges and door handles were wrapped - it looked great. I also saw a Youtube video of a guy wrapping a Wrangler tailgate hinge and looked like it can be done. I may go this route.

Not sure why you cannot wrap a hinge - if you can paint it and the paint does not scratch off then a wrap should be fine - given there is enough space in the hinge.

I agree. I know nothing about wrapping but some expressed concern over it and the old Youtube seems to back up your point
