I've not personally seen anything that would indicate that. Do you have a source for that information?

Unless it's some ultra-durable non-standard paint/finish, I would still likely protect it beyond whatever the factory provides.

Side question:
Is there ANY possibility of requesting NO paint (just primed panels) when placing the order, or is that just a ridiculous thought? Aren't these being built to order?

With claim that panels can be easily removed, I would think it would be easy and cheaper to protect.
