Year change - at what point does my Bronco become a 2022?

Yep… I ordered 8/28/20, friend… a lot of people on here ordered in July of 2020. And yes… it’s been a ridiculously long, frustrating wait and I still don’t have a VIN like a lot of others that ordered in 2020.

Reserved, order banks didn't open up till January of '21. And you're right, I reserved 7/19/20 and a lot of people were before me.

A VIN is like a birth certificate, you will have a 2021. It will be manufactured this year but might be delivered in early 2022.

I ordered march 17 2021 I have a vin
But build dates keep getting changed as we all know.
Now I'm scheduled for Nov 8 2021 at what point does my bronco become a 2022.
I would not be happy to receive it in December and it be s 2021.

No, no you didn’t order in August of 2920. Order banks didn’t open until January 2021. You may have RESERVED in 2020 but you most certainly didn’t order.

Ahhh hell.. I used the wrong wording.. you’re correct. I RESERVED… I forget what a beat down this forum is sometimes on technicalities. My apologies.

Let’s just say, we have all been waiting a long time and got the same giddy feeling the day we reserved and the day we ordered..

Yep. You’re right. My bad on using the incorrect wording. Regardless of how I worded it, we’ve all been waiting too damn long and are obviously cranky about it.

It will never be a 2022 even if it’s built in December and you don’t take delivery until January. It will still be a 2021 because the VIN says it is.

Spoke with my Bronco specialist at the dealership I contracted with and he suggested that Ford has a clear cutoff for 2021s and all contracts from the actual order date. Your sales should be able to confirm Your order. In California, the “contract “ isn’t done until the vehicle has left the dealership. Not sure where you are, but assumedly you have control of the outcome.

and this is exactly why I 99ed my order and will now wait for a 2022...After September scheduling and the MIC emails I knew I would either be December or a 2022 and I damn sure didn't want a December Bronco
