"Hey Siri, Start Bronco" -- How to set Siri shortcuts for FordPass App controls / functions

After setting up Siri to open the myQ garage using the help from Apple CarPlay Garage Opener? | Bronco6G - 2021+ Ford Bronco & Bronco Raptor Forum, News, Blog & Owners Community I felt myself wanting more.

A quick interweb search led me to Redit, where these F-150 geniuses have built api's to connect FordPass with Shortcuts. (1) Siri Shortcuts for FordPass (Fixed) : f150 (reddit.com) Also found a tutorial on Youtube showing some of the basics Control your Ford truck with Siri! Complete Tutorial. - YouTube

On the Redit in the comment's user Live_leg_8410 even figured out how to get zone lighting https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/103a10ed54e842018aeb779081980f52 Which I have working to turn on the lights, but I would like one that also turns them off. It might just be me but being able to use Siri to interact with my Bronco is pretty intriguing, So I wanted to share here for the B6G community.

I think that’s available now with Alexa

My understanding is with activating Alexa you aren’t gaining any functionality only adding another voice assistant to the vehicle. Helpful if you want to add something to your Amazon account or yell at Alexa to shut up when she is pushing unwanted notifications/suggestions. With the Shortcuts I can now have Siri run a multiple of functions while away from the vehicle.

Awesome! Gonna work on a shortcut for remote starts.

Be careful, there have been reports of Ford blocking account access if you use this. I believe Homebridge uses the same technique to connect to Fordpass

I'll report here if I run into that problem. The reports I found of users being blocked were out of Europe and using an api that connected every 2min.

thanks for this! I dove in further and found a Reddit that enabled “hey Siri” use with only MyQ and WITHOUT needing home assistant or home bridge (I had been planning on buying a Hoobs box). And of course without the discontinued Chamberlain HomeKit bridge.
1. download LiveKey app
2. Create an account and log in
3. In LiveKey, log in to MyQ to add the garage door to LiveKey
4. Tap “garage door” and then “shortcuts/Siri” and it’ll give you the remaining steps to add open, close, and status to your Hey Siri arsenal. Woot!

It’s a little clunky in that the Siri responses aren’t as polished as those FordPass shortcuts, but it gets the job done and ill try to play around and make it better by reviewing the FordPass shortcut details and trying to apply them to the MyQ shortcuts.

That works too just say "Hey Google, Order me an iPhone." and you'll be set.

Alexa has veen able to do this for a while.

Are those the commands where you must ask Alexa to ask ford to preform a task then Alexa takes all the credit?

Brilliant! This solves one issue of losing the Lux package, and with voice command, I’ll be so much better than those Luddite button pushers. Now if someone can just figure out how to make Siri heat my steering wheel, improve my audio system and watch out for idiots in front of me and adjust accordingly, I’ll be golden!

Thanks for sharing! I had to search around a bit to get an updated “Get FordPass Token” before it worked but all set up and working in under 5 minutes. Gonna love being able to ask my phone if my car is locked or to start it!
