Hi from Dubai,

Been enjoying testing the bronco in the offroad terrain we have out here in the Middle East (mostly desert, some mountains). Loving it so far.

love the post….. Am I seeing that you’ve got both a soft top and hard top? looks like a bestop? do you prefer it to the MIC?

Hi, thanks! Yes, came with the MIC and I’ve swapped it out for the bestop, with Bimini underneath. I like the look of the fastback and it’s sunny 99% of the time here.

Bestop definitely louder at highway speed, but solved that with some 1.5” memory foam on top of the Bimini. Works great and rolls up small when top is down.

All in all I love the bestop and am unlikely to swap back any time soon.

Memory foam. I'm definitely going to try that on top of my bimini on the next road trip. Simple and cheap but sounds like a great fix for the few times my MIC will actually be installed.

Probably paint protection film with a matte finish, like Xpel Stealth.

yep. Xpel stealth on antimatter blue. Wrapped it to protect against stone chips but looks great too.

Maybe it’s psychological but feels like it might help with the heat - does anyone have any data on that?

It’s AMB but that xpel stealth wrap makes it look black. It’s undeniably hotter than lighter shades, but it’s manageable. Every other car here is white and it all becomes a bit same same.

Ha, I’m not that technical. Was taken on an iPhone and sent over WhatsApp! If I knew how to post the video I would… I’ll have a little try now.
