Nice find. Think I might have to do this. Thanks for sharing.

Cool product and installation video.

I'm a little baffled you can't change the battery but otherwise pretty neat.

If someone opens your door, and press the button, will it open the garage? As an additional safety step, usually the mirror is powered by the vehicle and the key has to be in for it to operate.

Yes
The same way if they open the door and use the remote that’s clipped on the visor.
its a remote that’s built into the rear view that’s got a built in non replaceable visor
The same issue everyone had with a remote

also many cars have built in remotes that work for a length of time after the car is cut off so you don’t have to have the engine running to open/close your door

True. Both my vehicles have Home link so I haven't used a remote in years. My Wrangler is a soft top and I've never locked it to avoid having the top sliced by a potential thief. I only keep napkins in the glove box.

Yea, my Sienna has a wired homelink mirror and homelink works when the vehicle is locked with the window open

You could just install one of these for $30 and control it from your phone with an app. I have a few old cars and put one of these in to use. It also allowed me to take the remote out of my Wrangler and not worry about someone snatching it to open my door. Wish I would’ve installed it years ago.
