Looks good. Also like the lights. Do you get a lot of wind noise or whistle from the light bar?Vinyl wrapped flares. Rigid 40” light bar & Rigid 4” ditch lights.
Not this time. On my Wildtrak, I followed the Ford Performance instructions and routed the wires around the weather stripping and it added a bit of noise. FP has since changed the instructions to remove the insulation tubing and just run both positive and negative wires. This probably would have helped with the noise. I was to lazy to try it and lived with the noise.Looks good. Also like the lights. Do you get a lot of wind noise or whistle from the light bar?
Thank you for the information. Surprised wiring was what was causing wind noise. When and if I do a light bar, was planning on doing the hole and wire in the A-pilar.Not this time. On my Raptor I went the Bronco Nation route and drilled a hole under the light bar mount and used a liberal amount of silicone. Much quieter. No whistling and the same amount of wind noise above 70 without the light bar. If you're worried about drilling a hole that could possibly let water in I'd go the FP route. I'm sure removing the thick insulation tubing would have helped with the noise. I don't think you could go wring with either.
The insulation tubing on the lightbars are thick. Think outdoor extension cord thick. That was causing an air leak when sandwiched between the weather stripping and hardtop. Hence the reason Ford Performance changed the instruction to strip the insulation tubing away.Thank you for the information. Surprised wiring was what was causing wind noise. Have been curious how wrapping the fenders might work. Howd that go? Cost? Did you also PPF them to prevent chips? Also, any chance you have more pic angles? Side, full front and rear would be great perspective.Vinyl wrapped flares. Rigid 40” light bar & Rigid 4” ditch lights.
The hardest part was matching the white. I thought Oxford White would be the easiest. I was wrong. Lots of different shades. My installer had to try different whites to see which looked the best. He did not charge me since mine was the guinea pig and it took him a while to get it right.Have been curious how wrapping the fenders might work. Howd that go? Cost? I do like this look and I hope you do as well, but it kind of reminds me of a BLEEP. I'm going to leave mine as is. Great looking. No PPF. I’d get them re-wrapped if my wife decided to go off road on the way to Costco or the mall.
