I haven't considered work with original bash plates

I would think there would be more of a market for those with just the standard bumper. Assuming you want to offer a differing option

I feel like those with the Heavy Duty will already have bash plates or will have plans for them already. Ford already offers the above, unless you are just looking to replicate that and then undercut them.

1) Make sure you can change the oil without taking off the plates.

2) Steel. Bash plates are not a place to save weight and aluminum just doesn't hold up.

3) I would not require a specific bumper. Anyone who is going to need full body bash plates, is going to probably have a winch. And a winch doesn't work well with any of the Ford bumpers. So most of your potential customers are going to have an aftermarket front bumper.

Many of us with factory bash/skid plates will still need the transmission cover as Ford did not include a transmission skid plate. It would be ideal if it worked with the factory skid plates as many will want to add to what they already have instead of buying all new skid plates.

The ASFIR one I just installed works great with the OEM bash plates. It's a direct fit with no modification to my 4 door 2.7. $237 delivered. took half an hour to install on my back.
