Well I read an article talking about GM making a Bronco Jeep competitor calling it the “Grand Blazer” so thought it may have had some substance to it. That’s why I was asking.

Ya wouldn’t be EV, GM CEO announced on the news about 2 months ago that GM is slowing down EV production and turning sights to Hydrogen, that was and is Real News.

Oh good as I am not a fan of EV's. Will ride my pedal bicycle first LOL. That Blazer if they made a base one with a 5.3 V8 and it was priced reasonably like 38K I would be interested. The 5.3 is such a simple engine compared to the Bronco 2.3 or 2.7. And with a V8 you can add dual exhaust and get wonderful sound. But if it's 45k or more I'm definitely out. It will probably be like 55 or 65K like the trucks- way over priced.

Also Hydrogen, not sure on that don't know much about it.....

Oh no problem, I didn’t take it that way And I TOTALLY agree, lots of CNN news on the web. Was just curious after what I had read, and was looking for some validation one way or another.

Other than that, there's a zillion artist concepts out there and if you read here on this site the Bronco isn't selling anymore ... so why would GM step up to build a competitor?

I'm following though but that Blazer is pretty much a custom one off with lots of labor to get it where it's at. For 200k I'd just buy a restored one and pocket the change if that's what I wanted, but no one asked me.

With that said, you never know. Remember Four Wheeler and MotorTrend's April Fools Bronco articles teasing a re-release in? Yet we finally made it!
GM is probably quite content with the Yukon AT4 filling in the role of SUV off-roader. They had a great opportunity with the re-release of the Blazer name and instead turned it into the cool mom's soccer wagon. Now it is time to focus energy on re-imagining the LUV truck. Readers, feel free to share your MS Paint renderings but know that someone from AutoBlog will eventually steal your concept art.
