MGV 20k miles tears forming in seat

Yup - as suspected. Can’t get away from physics no matter what fancy name Ford gives their plastic seat covers. Cracking is an eventuality. Sucks.

I went with RSE sliders with powered steps for this reason I'm 6'1 (not quite mitchell from tc customs) and kept sliding out of seat..I have cloth but still could see how it will tear any seat up within a few months.....these also make it so that I easily use that grab handle to get in and out now...before it just seemed awkward to use....strongly recommend the RSE sliders and there customer service is top notch.

I am having the same issue with my MGV seat on the drivers side. A small tear has formed. I’m gonna try and get it fixed under my extended premium warranty. I put tape over it at least for the time being:

Aerospace 303 was literally made for use on vinyl on boats. It's super popular in the automotive industry as well. I use it on EVERYTHING plastic or rubber and my seats. It's kept my previous cars looking brand new for years.

That’s what I use on my marine grade vinyl seats works great
