Report: Ford Performance Tune for Bronco Raptor Arriving Q1 2024

This is great news!

According to a Ranger6G member, a Ford Performance rep revealed Bronco Raptor‘s performance tune is coming Q1 ‘24!

OH3Cobra says the Ford Performance team are conducting final certification for the tune and they stated the performance on the low end is very noticeable.

He went on to say, “It's also warrantied - which is what will differentiate from other aftermarket tunes. They durability test the tuned vehicles to 100K miles. Appreciate that level of detail and certification”.

Ranger Raptor will receive its performance tune later the same year (3rd or 4th quarter release).

Further confirmation the tune is coming!

I spoke with them earlier this Month and the Ford Performance Rep. told me to call back at the end of January as they should have more info or a release date at that time.

$825 for regular Bronco, thus $1k or $1200 for Raptor. "Raptor tax" baby.

Mustang is $600.

This will also very likely make less power than the Whipple tune (+50 crank hp on 91). The Explorer ST is an almost identical engine and it gets only +30 hp/+ 35 ft lb.

In short my guess is +40 hp (crank) and $1k

Ain't going to happen. That affect fuel economy/emissions. Its not legal.

Incorrect. The Procal devices for base program allow Auto Stop/Start setting to be saved.

Just got my ProCal tuner installed on my 2.7 and I noticed that when I disable to start stop and shut the car off, when I turn the car for my next trip, the auto start is off/disabled. Looks like it saves the status from the last trip.

Figured I would throw it out there in case other people are going to use forscan to disable it.

When Bronco Raptor Off-Roadeo was officially opened (July 2023) the Bronco on display out front had an odd license plate.

“455 X77”

I have a strong suspicion this was Ford Performance teasing the upcoming ProCal for Warthog.

455 Horsepower
X77 = 477 Torque

Stock power for Warthog is:
418 Horsepower, 440 Torque

So if true, it would mean a HP bump of 37 HP and 37 LB-FT of torque (Seems like realistic power bumps). Plus, these numbers Are eerily similar to the gains found in the Explorer ST Procal.

Now here’s the kicker, after this was pointed out, the license plate was removed.
I noticed this when I attended the Raptor Off-Roadeo on Labor Day ‘23.

The Warthog Program certainly wants to out-perform the competition.

392 Makes 470 HP, 470 Torque
Warthog? Possibly around 455 HP, 477 Torque.

So the power figures may be MUCH closer.
Plus, Warthog weighs less than 392, down 367 lbs.

Why would anyone with the Braptor want the ford tune? Livernois offers much more and they are the ones that ford performance uses for their tune. Also opens up a whole slew of options once the PCM is cracked.
