I rented a Supra this week, not a big selection of cars to choose from. Never again. I hit my head on the roof getting in 4 times. Can’t see out of the sides due to the low roof line. I think the floor pan is 4 mm from the ground because you fall into the seat. Horrible road noise on anything except slick smooth asphalt. It did handle very well.

Saw three different 2022 Z4's yesterday and not once did I think "The Supra looks better".

Once you get past the reduction in platform and dev costs, these multi-brand hodge-podge jobs have done poorly here in the US.

Not since the re-branded L-body Chevrolet Corsica/Pontiac Tempest have we had such shit cars billed as supposedly two different brands of poop and expected them to smell differently.

See, while I can certainly appreciate not wanting BMW switchgear/electronics/etc and the potential repair costs associated, I think the B58 straight six is one of the best engines you can get in a $50k sports car. Sounds great, smooth as silk, delightfully linear torque curve for a turbocharged engine, and most models of it are making nearly 400 hp at the crank despite what BMW says, and it does all this while turning out 30+ mpg on the highway and has proven quite reliable.

There are things to like about the new Z, but the powertrain isn't one of them

Browsing the Toyota Pressroom site and saw this PDF document (located on the right sidebar) on the 2023 Toyota GR Supra page which not only confirms that the manual will be priced at the exact same, but the A91-MT being priced at not much more than the premium. I haven't seen anything officially released for 2023 pricing or posted here yet, but it's conveniently located on the Toyota website so maybe everyone already knew. Thoughts?
