What are you using your comms radios for, and what do you have? (VHF, GMRS, FRS etc..)

GMRS is a better choice that CB. It has clearer signals and is higher powered, significantly so with a mobile unit.

Which has the better range. GMRS allows higher power, but I do not fully understand the effects that different frequency ranges have on propagation. GMRS is a much higher frequency range, right? I'm thinking that might make it more dependent on line-of-sight.

This part arrived all the way from china and I tested it with a 3' cat5 cable, and it works!

It's not made for bronco but I'm sure I can find a place to cut it in. The two wires are to light it up but I won't be using them.

I have both, and only handheld, so I understand going in I am a bit limited on power/ distance vs. adding an external antenna, but will see how well this works for our use, upgrade as needed/when needed.
Some groups use CB, some GMRS, so ready for whichever, whenever.

Bought both really cheap, hope they end up working well enough for what we do.
Can upgrade to external antenna to boost range if needed.

I have the midland mxt275 I was going to install behind the glove box but just pulled it down for the first time and don't see a decent spot to mount it. Where is everyone else mounting theirs? I was trying to go for completely hidden if possible.

I just got done watching your video and think I found my spot. I think I'm gonna go with in behind the window switches in the center console. This way I don't have to drill the console out. I have extensions for all the cables.

Nope, never been released. The MXT500 was also listed as sold out before it was released.

A rep said they might be out earlier than Summer. It was supposed to be released over a year ago.
