Yesterday we traded our ‘22 Gladiator Texas Trail edition for our’24 BD that we ordered in October. My trade lost about $4k in value while we waited. We actually liked the Gladiator, but we’re a @Ford family. LOVE the Bronco! Let the modifications begin!

Thanks. I looked for a thread like that but put the wrong key words in. I’ll delete this one if I can and check out that thread.
That one is fairly young as well, likely there were many others along the way… 😏

just did a search on “What, did” and these ARE the only two about replacement/trade-in… quite surprised 🤣

I didn’t exactly “trade in” - but the vehicle I had before the Bronco was also a Gladiator (Mojave Edition) I plopped the deposit down for the Bronco and used the one year wait time for it to sell my Gladiator. Figured if it didn’t sell by the time the Bronco arrived, I’d just take whatever the dealer would give for a trade in value.

Ha…as if that was going to happen!

It was at the end of the pandemic in early 2022 when used car inventory was non-existent. Dealers were desperate for inventory. Actually sold the Gladiator in less than a week for $1500 MORE than I paid for it a year earlier!

(what a crazy stupid time that was. Buy a new vehicle, drive it a year, then sell it for a $1500 profit? Whoever heard of such a thing?)

Anyway….put the money in a couple of investment accounts while I waited for the Bronco to be built. Made another $2500 in interest during the wait.

There was a trade in thread on the Gladiator forum. I used trade in on this forum search and didn’t find one.

Sold my 1976. I inherited it in 05 and spent 12 years restoring it. Drove it without issue for 5 years then engine went out, then trans. Dumped tons of time and money into it. Finally got it running a few months ago and decided I’d rather get something more reliable that I could drive all year. So I sold it and bought a 22 Wildtrak with 8k miles. What I had left over I paid off my 2023 Outback XT daily driver. I miss it but don’t regret my decision
