Hi I have a dumb question. I see a lot of people get new wheels for their Broncos. Why would you go to the expense of doing this?

1) be able to get bigger tires. Ok i understand this

2) visual appeal?

3) any other reasons?

just trying to learn
Thx

Each person is going to give their own reasons.
For me it was #2.
Admittedly, once I had the stock Sasquatch wheels on mine, I didn't mind them nearly as much as I thought I would.
However, new ones already bought and paid for.
Sold the stock ones at a deal for someone else who wanted them, recouped some of the new wheel investment.

If I do most likely just for #2 because I like customizing/personalizing my vehicles

I think the factory wheels are boring, also Iā€™m not a fan of fake ā€œbead lockā€ rings and I have no use for actual bead locks.

I also enjoy not having the exact same rig as someone else.

Usually personal preference. For me, I think the base Bronco is the best value, especially for someone looking to change the wheels. When you break down the upcharge for the subsequent models, you are paying a premium for what you get.

Usually for aesthetics. I like the Sasquatch wheels better than probably 95% of the after market wheels I see going on thoughā€¦but to each his own. Sas wheels are a great looking wheel with black trim rings. All of the rest of them except the Balck Diamond and Badlands optional wheel need to be replaced though IMO.

I think most people just want to do something to personalize their Bronco. Wheels are the typical first modification for car, truck suv. I'm choosing what I want in the wheel department right now. The thing I find a little confusing after looking at the stock Squatch wheel is that it is hub centric about 93mm. So I'm wondering do I need to buy hub centric wheels or just go with the bolt pattern and find something I like the looks of? Any feed back?

I'm going to keep my OEM wheels and put 275R70 tires on them. I'm not crazy about the wheel design, but I do like that it matches the roof and grille.

#1. The base rims are 16ā€ Steelie, too small.

Just making it my own, trying to have something a little different the other one at the stoplight.

Looks. Of all the factory options, the steelies are the only options I think look any good. Not a fan of any of the rest.

I'm looking at aftermarket wheels due to weight. The stock Sasquatch rims are 35#. I'm looking at shaving some weight (around #10 per wheel) and get a custom look at the same time. Will also be going with a slightly smaller and narrow tire and ditching the 34.4" Sasquatch tires. I need a tire that will do well in compact snow and ice. Looking at 285/70R17, 285/75R17, 34X10.5R17, or maybe even 275/70R18.
