Ford Motor Company has confirmed that it will be offering 4 all-new sport utility vehicles to the Ford and Lincoln brand vehicle lineups in the “next few years” according to a report by the Detroit News.
Although the automaker would not confirm which vehicles or provide a more specific timeline, this news comes at a time when SUVs are expected to account for 40-percent of the U.S. auto market within the next four years.
As many have speculated based on UAW contract discussions, one of the likely new vehicles could be the revival of the Ford Bronco which would presumably be built at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant.
