The instructor recommended to run between 15 to 20 psi. I was running around 18 psi the first day and took it down to 15 psi the second day.
I have a few pictures where you can see the tires taking some pretty good flex in the rock crawling section. So I think running 15 psi for those is the...
@Tdub0527 I agree completely with the review.
I have been slowly building up my rig and it was great to put it to the test! I have a Fabfours stubby bumper, a Smittybilt X2O winch and the Bilstein 6100 shocks with the stock Sasquatch springs.
I also did not had much wheeling experience but Mark...
I live south of the Twin Cities and moved here 5 years ago. Lived in Orange County and North Texas before coming here.
The Midwest has been my favorite place to live. CA is too expensive and Texas is too hot!
I got a full stable. I was able to find a Badlands 7-speed last winter and I picked up...
From driving it a bit more now, I think the best way to explain it is that you feel a bit more the smaller bumps (stiffer ride) but it soaks up better the big bumps.
From my comparison, the maximum extension is the same, so it will not give you more total articulation.
But since you are riding...
These Bilstein are different than the stock Sasquatch. They are the 6100 line. They have a 2.5" diameter body. They are heavier duty than the stock Sasquatch shocks. Or at least that is how Bilstein markets them, as an upgrade for better off road performance and durability.
This do not change the maximum CV angle extension. The shocks are exactly the same length as stock, when fully extended.
At ride height, the CV angle will change slightly, but I do not think it matters that much.
Bilstein is the OEM supplier for the Sasquatch shocks so I trust that these shocks...
I designed them myself and had them made by a sheet metal shop. They are made from 304 stainless, about 3/16" thk.
They look pretty thin, but I designed them to take around 300 lbs each. I have them secured with a stainless high strength hose clamp to the stock rock rails, so I can take them...
I was expecting it to be level, but it actually still has a very small rake. Looks just a tad bit lower in the front. Is probably because I added around 100 lbs extra weight with the bumper and winch. If you have a stock bumper, I heard it is leveled.
Just got my Bilstein 6100 shocks installed on my Badlands Sasquatch. I used the highest circlip location and love the outcome!
Install was not bad, probably 6 hours total. I recommend to do the fronts first since they are a bit harder. The rears are a piece of cake.
Since the springs are more...
I have them on preorder. I have a Badlands Sasquatch and I decided against trying to fit 37's. But these look to give you better performance and a couple of inches of extra clearance, which will be perfect for off roading.
35's are already amazing for 99% of the trails out there and with a...
Hey All, I do not have materials yet. Honestly I am thinking that any day now a company like metra will come with an adapter. Things have gotten really busy at home and do not foresee I will have enough time to keep making the adapters. Plus, I was just trying to get some of the money back that...
The brakes are one of the car systems designed with more redundancy and tolerance for failures. Typically if the vacuum booster fails, you loose the assistance of the vacuum, so the pedal becomes much harder to press, but you can still make the brakes work if you push harder on the pedal. But is...
I changed the rear speakers today. Took some pictures to share. I am surprised how much fuller the sound is just with the speaker change. I can compare it to the Bose Premium Audio on my wife's Nissan Armada, and I actually like it more now in the Bronco, just because of the speakers. The Armada...
