Surprised it took so long. It’s small. Hopefully doesn’t spider. Not going to fix it unless it does

Welcome to the club. Everyone joins sooner or later.
I've got multiple dimples. They haven't spread.
I look like I've been driving through a war zone. But then metro Atlanta sorta is, in a way.

Long ago my car had a cracked windshield, and I procrastinated for many months in getting it fixed. Finally I got the windshield replaced it fixed, and a month later a new impact gave it a new chip crack.

This is why I’ll wait on replacement if it doesn’t get worst

Highly recommend Exoshield! Installed mine shortly after getting a new windshield and have had multiple rock deflections that have caused no issues.

Welcome to the club. Our broncos windshields catch everything. If you see it spider don’t delay and get it’s fixed. Only cost me $50 to repair my crack compared to $$$ for the replacement which will probably not have the Oem Easter eggs on it.

I recommend getting the chip filled, I believe it prolongs the inevitable and your insurance may cover it.

I edited my post to clarify what happened. The old one was an actual crack and we eventually replaced the windshield. The new impact was just a chip that didn't spread over time. Next time I'll get the chip fixed right away, which I didn't know was possible at the time.

I’ll second this advice. I got a small chip the first time I had to take the interstate. Took about 15 minutes of interstate driving to pick it up. I went and got it fixed at my local windshield repair spot. Used the one my insurance company recommended. This repair shop actually does chip repairs for free and I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. Can barely make out where the chip was if you look closely and know what you are looking for. If you keep up with fixing them quickly, you can largely avoid having the small chips spider out. Well worth 20 minutes to put off a full replacement indefinitely. They tend to spider faster if it’s cold out and you have the defroster on. So keep that in mind if you get a winter chip in a cold climate.

658 miles on the Raptor and whack! Right in front of me. I was instantly wondering if a bug deflector would have helped. I was 50% with one before, the Badlands had couple bounce off the windshield and the Wildtrak took one at the very top that turned into a crack over a foot long.

Tried the Permatex repair kit. Reduced the visibility of damage ~85% left a small blurred spot over the pit. It's good enough that I don't see it while driving.
