We have a working enclosure design for the 2-door Bronco!!

This is basically the same as the 4-door.

Specs:
  • Designed for the Kicker CompRT 8" Sub
  • Enclosure is about 0.46cuft without sub
  • Other shallow subs can fit, with about 4" mounting depth
  • Kicker key 500.1 Amp mounts directly to the top
  • Comes with all mounting hardware
  • Speaker and amp some separately

We will be doing a pre-order for this enclosure until we can build up some stock. First come basis.

*We are working on a L7T 8" version. But that is still some time off for now.*

This is great! I have been contemplating how I want to add bass to my 2dr for awhile now. Definitely picking up the L7 package soon!

What are the dimensions of the area where you have the kicker amp installed? I would like to move my amp there. I have a musway 4/100.

Our setup design has the Kicker Key500.1 mounted to the top of the box. You can see it in the 4 door photos. The amp is 1-11/16" x 4-1/8" x 8-1/8".

You can always remote mount your amp, like under a seat, and wire it that way.

Thanks I have the 2 door. The amp is 8.6 x 1.7 x 5.9 so it's a tad bit wider.

You would to remote mount it then. Or use the 500.1 for the sub.

@GearShade I cannot find this information here or on your website. What is the box frequency tuned for?

Never really did a tuning for this box. Firstly, it is a sealed box. Secondly, it sounded pretty good, so I just let the sleeping dogs lie.

No, will not fit where I have designed the Key500.1 mounting. Someone else asked about it for a 4-door. I think they put it under the seat.

Originally this system was designed for the Bronco with the "Six Speaker" system. So no B&O at all. This is what we got in our Big Bend.

We have not tested the B&O amp mounted to our box as it does to the B&O box. I don't think there is enough room between our box and the inside of the panel. The B&O box has a recessed area for the amp to sit.

We suggest ditching the B&O and running a Key500.1, wired with a 4-6GA wire directly to the battery. The stock amp power wire is very small. We are trying to make a pigtail plug for the OEM connector, but we are having a very hard time finding the correct plug. Even with Ford's OEM connector part number.

@GearShade - that's the challenge with the B&O owners that I would love to solve -if you are just adding the GearShare box and leaving the rest of the B&O system alone (maybe swapping some better speakers) this is going to be a challenge as you need to keep the B&O Amp in the car for the other speakers that its actually pretty good at powering. When looking at your 2Dr box, i was almost thinking there looked like enough room to mount the B&O on the wheel well hump under the Gearshade sub box ? Ideally we would want to mount it on the face of the GearShade box - just like OEM or maybe there is someone who already bought one from you that could share or take pictures of what they did with the B&O Amp mount location. I have not ripped mine apart to determine how much slack is in the factory wiring harnesses and will it fit where you are currently placing your Kicker Key - if it could fit up there, then there is always another place to mount the Kicker amp.

There is only about 1 inch between the box face and the inside of the panel.

The salmon color is the fender, the green-ish is the panel.
