So figured I would start a thread to log some of my progress on my build. It will be a fairly modest build by the standards in this forum. I am starting with the following.

2 Door
Big Bend
Sasquach
Mid package
Signature lights
2.7
10-speed auto
Factory roof rack
Yakima SUP rack
Eruption Green

I have no plans on changing anything with the suspension. I got the SAS so I could have a good factory setup that is more than enough for my needs. Not a lot of real off road terrain in the CT area so it will see almost all the time on the concrete. I am an avid mountain biker so it will be handy for getting me to all my favorite trailheads an I plan on building it out to support my riding adventures.

With that in mind here is what I have purchased, added so far.

Mabbett mud flaps - a SAS must. I have only installed the front so far and probably will not install the rears.
Blackout rear horse
blackout rear ford logo
Mabbett Front bull bar
Mabbett center organizer
Draw-tit Class 3 Rear Hitch
1up Bike rack
1up rack attach

I have also removed the beauty rings around the SAS wheels which I like the look of better. I have also deleted the rear seats and will be building out a custom storage area for storing all my riding gear.
I am also doing a full audio replacement with the following
Kicker KEY 200.4 amp
Kicker KEY 500.1 bass amp
Audiofrog GS42 - dash
Audiofrog GS60 - kick panels
Audiofrog GS12D2x2 sub drivers - building custom enclosure

I have a new grill on the way in the form of the Xipex Matt Black and will install the oracle light up letters into the new grill, Also oracle fogs will be coming

So I guess a little bigger build than I thought lol. Cant wait, after waiting 2 years for this thing fun to get started on making it my own.
Great Looking Horse. Almost my identical build. Just got my VIN yesterday, so I can finally quit stalking on this forum and join some conversations.

Quick questions on the Flaps and Tow hitch. How well do the flaps work with the factory steps? Are they pre-cut? And did you wire for a 4 pin, or just add the Class 3 so you can add a bike rack?

BTW, ...That new grill looks awesome - I really don't like the BB /OB grill, so that may be one of the few body mods I look into.

Mudflaps work perfect with step and SAS. No cutting, pretty easy install. I only installed the fronts since I was concerned about rocks kicking up onto the doors from the sas tires.

Tow hitch I did not add the wiring, just needed it for a bike rack.

And yeah I always liked the badlands/first edition grill better. Also like that its black vs the grey. Good luck with yours its worth the wait.

Sorry, I meant front of the subwoofer box/rear cargo area.

Ah here you go, nothing too fancy at the moment since only a small part is seen. Eventually I will redo the shelf in birch and do a better edge, just happened to have the piece of plywood lying around And wanted to get things functional so used it as a temp solution. Everything is just connected with double sided tape so it can all break down if needed.

Looks nice. Where did you mount your amp? Im tempted to delete my rear seat. Id probably do velcro instead of tape.

Its mounted, well sitting :) under the passenger seat. I wanted it accessible since it has a DSP in case i needed to re calibrate it again.

I found the rear seats hard to get to and dont really have a need so for me I am happy to have extra storage space. My kids are grown and my wife has a 4 door wrangler if we really need to fit more people which is pretty much never. Just love the look and size of the 2 door and now having a good size storage area Just makes its even better.

You said you like mountain biking.. did you get a bike carrier or does your bike fit in back with your rear seat delete? I also ride but I didn’t get the tow package on my build so I was curious if a 29’r will fit back there with no seats?

I have a 2 door on order and will probably delete the rear seats or at least build a platform over them

my wife also has a JLUR, we never use rear seats on

dont think it would fit. I have a hitch mount rack from 1up for my bikes. I added a tow hitch after market for like $100 for the rack.

This is great work and looks amazing but that sub box kind of eliminates the space you gained by doing the rear seat delete. I like music too, but not that much😀

I picked up some good space. It’s about an inch deeper than the 4 door cargo area on the floor plus I have the shelf which adds more space. The sub box is about 12” deep so yes I do lose some but still plenty and worth it for the subs.
