Amateur hour:

What is the benefit of an aftermarket tie rod?

Is it to add performance compared to the stock tie rod? Or most so to make up for deficiencies with the stock tie rod?

Questions are welcome, we are here to help.
The stock tie rods are the known weak point on any IFS system. Our Broncos are not immune from that problem. Look at the comparison pics. When torque is applied to the front wheel the natural physics want to pull and bend the weakest link, the tie rod. Also hitting rocks from the side bends the weakest link.

Would you need an alignment after installing these?

Well isn’t the weakest link going to be the steering rack after this upgrade?
That’s my fear, upgrading the tie rods then break the steering rack on a trail

Then don't take it out on a trail.
