Interesting…the same non-compliance with FMVSS-111 would exist for the Suma curved mirrors. But could not find that mentioned at all on the Suma website. I’ve never heard of anyone having problems of getting cited or failing state inspections due to having the curved mirrors.

Yeah, anybody worried about that lives in a state like California that has lots of rampant government overreach. I’m glad I don’t live there.

Not really. California doesn’t have inspections like this. There are no inspections for cars that are less than ~10 years old, then older cars built must have smog testing every 2 years which includes a few safety checks for system leaks. But no inspections of things like headlight or mirror compliance to regulations.

I don’t worry about it. Almost everything we do has some element of a choice of risk & reward. The scenario you suggest I think is highly unlikely. Plus I feel the safety benefit of improved visibility and reduction of blind spots vs the stock mirrors is a much larger realized benefit. Just MHO.

Yeah this seems the most likely reason. I emailed Wolfbox about the concern, but my order just shipped this morning according to the tracking number, so I’ll soon find out. Hopefully, Wolfbox will reply here and let everyone know what’s going on.

Some good news! I heard back from Mark at Wolfbox who confirmed my mirrors do include BLIS warning, and that it is compatible with my 2023MY mirror connectors. The BLIS mirrors were taken off the website for inventory reasons.

The features can only be activated if your model has turn signals in mirrors.

Are there any Broncos with turn signals in the mirrors?
I wasn't aware of any?

With mine still enroute I will probably just wait and see what others report and/or do first. If its the previously mentioned connector change issue than yeah, I'll just have to trash them since hers is a 25. Kinda a shame cause I know @SlimerChick was really excited about these to improve the vision.

Also very interested to see if anyone can run a turn signal lead up to the mirror or if there is an existing wire located somewhere close by that can be tapped. Otherwise its a feature I got that I didn't need to spend the extra few bucks on.
