New England Broncos

Group for people in New England to talk, show off, and go off roading

Is anyone else in New England reserved/converted at Best Ford in Nashua, New Hampshire? They are one heck of a sleepy dealership. I hope in the end that pays off to my advantage. But so far no build date. Reserved 7/15 converted on 3/1. 4dr, BL, SAS, Tow, MIC. A few of the deadly sins.

I have a 7/14 at a different dealership and haven't gotten anything yet. Hopefully we get an idea where we stand by the end of the month like ford said we would. Having tow and MIC seem to be the biggest constraints now.

I have a 7/14 reservation at a different New England dealer. Like us, they probably know little. No communications concerning the build timeframes. I few weeks ago I decided my Badland 2-door would look fine without Sasquatch and removed it. I also felt I would be happy with just the High Package, so I removed the Lux. I do not expect those changes will affect my build, but I am happy with the cost savings.

when I went to the dealer event today I overheard one of the bronco reps talking about the chip shortage and they said package does matter. The higher the package the more chips used. I am a 4 door base sas w/ 2.7. Hopefully that is good enough to get me a build date since I was originally within my dealerships allocations. Plus the most recent 2 emails they sent to the dealers did not list the 2.7 and sas a constraints.

Seems like New England gets the shaft. Just like we are last stop on the road show to see them in person, I have heard rumor New Englanders won’t be allotted many Broncos first couple months of production, relatively speaking. I hope it isn’t so, but who knows.

without a soft top I wouldn't hold your breath at this point. which stinks. My dealer made a side comment that for normal orders on the first big round they may produce like 80% soft tops.

Worst Ford. Not a fan of them. They almost hosed me, although the MIC seems to be doing a better job of that. Best Ford was not going to put my order IN. Even though all reservations (with my time stamp) should have been in by 3/19 to get in line. They were playing games with allocations. Called two other local Ford dealers and they confirmed as well as Ford. So I switched.

Changed from that dealer to another dealer that was just as easy to visit. I was not unhappy with my decision at all. The communications went from non existent to responses to all of my questions. Regardless of knowing the answers or not.

All of this being said... no build date for me either. If I did not live in NewEngland or want a rack for surfboards/gear, I would switch in a heartbeat.
I have considered switching and getting the HardTop later. But ... there is no price on the HT as an accessory, no free sound proofing if you kill it, no financing it with the car. To add, there is no clue on how much it would speed up my build. Just as bummed out as most others who don't have a date.

@jdawg The soft top roof rack that 4wp is supposed to eventually come out with looks awesome. No hideous tube system like on the jeeps

@Chrism81 Can't seem to find an image of the one potentially coming from 4wp. The jeep tube lego structure (which is very functional) looks so hideous to me, I would rather buy a Home Depot trailer and roll with that. But thank you for mentioning this option. Because of the front attachment points for racks on the Bronco, it makes sense that there could possibly some nice ST roof racks in the works. I will keep looking.
