So far no one has posted a pic with the front license plate. What’s everyone’s approach? Use the included front license plate bracket, aftermarket alternative, go through the hassel of getting the window sticker, or screw it?

DMV will issue a sticker under the no front plate option without question. Not a big deal requesting it. Here is the rub and its real if you spend much time around state troopers.

One license plate shall be issued, upon request and compliance with this subdivision, for any passenger car which is not manufactured to be equipped with a bracket on the front of the vehicle to display a license plate. A license decal shall be issued with the license plate as provided in subdivision (ii) of this subdivision and shall be displayed on the driver's side of the windshield. In order to request a single license plate and license decal, there shall be an additional annual nonrefundable registration fee of fifty dollars plus the cost of the decal paid to the county treasurer at the time of registration. All fees collected under this subdivision shall be remitted to the State Treasurer for credit to the Highway Trust Fun.

@TankCommander I might have done this when I registered mine today if I'd known about it and didn't keep my plates from my trade in, and two it wasn't an additional $50/year. Ahh well.🤷‍♂️

@Mrpenn46 I also believe you need to renew in person each year with the sticker.

I will say my parents have both not had front license plates on their cars for 20+ years. Only been an issue once and it's only a fix it ticket. Dad zip tied the license plate to the front of the car, found a cop to sign off on the repairs and promptly cut the zip ties.

Now that I think about this I'll probably just put the plate where Ford tells me to put it. At my age I don't really care what others think.

@TankCommander I just didn't want to drill into the plastic grill, I thought about it but since I have the option I'll try other methods first.

@Mrpenn46 I don't blame you. By the time I get my BL with capable bumper there will probably be more than one solution available. The plate will definitely look better coming off the bumper and not the plastic grill.

I ordered an aftermarket one, and even though I told my salesman not to attach the plate, it was done anyway. I've yet to receive the bracket, but as soon as I do, I'll have them fix it.

I shelled out the extra cash for the single license plate option. I did see a mount that's lower than the one Ford had set up. Don't like how high they have it.

@MB1 can you post a picture of what the decal looks like? Size would be nice to know also - thanks!

The dealership attached mine to the grill, after asking that they don't. My aftermarket holder is finally shipping today. When it arrives I plan on making them install it and fix the holes
