Did anyone pull the trigger and decide to purchase a hard top from Advanced Fiberglass Concepts yesterday?

Obviously I can't yet but from what I read, they only have a concept, no actual product with testing and want around $6500 up front. Even if I had a Bronco, that would probably be a no-go.

No, I don’t understand their pricing. You can get Jeep four door tops for less than $3k.

I was and am interested but really not sure if I can pony up for it (haha). $6700 shipped ($700 shipping to MI) to me for the 1 piece and that isn't even painted which I was hoping to do. That would put it to 8K which just seems crazy. I think its a great looking top but don't know if I will. Hoping the Ford Modular top is priced a few grand less.

If I read their news blast correctly, they were available to order starting yesterday and were getting shipped ASAP in the order in which they are purchased. Unless I'm reading that incorrectly. One Piece Top: $5,250
Modular Top: $5,750. Plus the shipping. And then would it need to be installed? Or can I just take off the soft top and pop it on myself? The estimated ship dates are 8/1 and 9/1. I am hoping the Ford ones will be less as well. I just really want one before next winter.

@broncoGIRL21 those prices are for just the top with wiper and headliner adding more. Around 800 more for both if I recall. The 6700 was both added plus shipping.

@AllthePonies the lack of a warranty scared me away. Honestly I really don’t mind the soft top at all. I just use one of those pressure wash stalls with my own bucket, mitt, and soap. I’m usually in and out faster than people in line for the automatic wash.

@BroncoDr I’m the nut in my driveway with a bucket of hot water when it gets above freezing. It works!

It is tempting given the uncertainty with the Ford version. It may make sense to purchase with a credit card that offers purchase protection in place of a conventional warranty. The price borders on outrageous - but there are no alternatives at this point. I have a business trip scheduled in Irvine. It may make sense to head over to Costa Mesa to see what they are doing and speak to the management. If I visit them, I will comment on it here.

Price point and no warranty were the big deterrants for me. Plus spring is only 15 days away? I'm in no rush, we've made it through the winter, absolutely no problems. I have been taking my soft top through the car wash with no issues, but she is parked in a heated garage...........

@broncoGIRL21 Touchless carwash, no floor tracks. Sorry didn't add that info in my original reply. I won't take any of my cars through the car washes with brushes/rollers, just don't trust them.

@GTPrincessa Same. I've done the touchless car wash twice. Other than that, it's been those self-serve wash bays all the way.
